    1836

Gauss and Weber earned much prestige and the sky were the limit to them in the half-decade they worked together. They discovered Kirchhoff's laws and even built a large, yet primitive telegraph device that could broadcast high (to low) frequency messages over a whopping 5000 feet of distance. However, this was just a simple and fun hobby for Gauss. He focused and professionally aimed towards a goal of creating an effective global net of magnetic observation points. This task of theirs, demonstrated outstanding results and a physical proof of the solidity of their partnership. They funded the Magnetischer Verein journal and they also mapped an atlas of geomagnetism in the same year. The Magnetischer Verein was constantly updated by the two of them throughout a 5 year period,  recording and establishing patterns of geomagnetism waves.
