1795
In 1795 Gauss migrated from Brunswick to Göttingen, which has one of the most famous university in Germany to this day. There, Gauss had Kästner, the famous mathematician and encyclopaedia writer as his tutor. Even though Carl respected his tutor, he often questioned his theories. This is one of the key components that made Gauss succeed along his life, he was always, always questioning. Another important figure whom Gauss met in the University of Göttingen was Farkas Bolyai, another mathematician. Guass grew very fond of Farkas and worked together in a few projects.
